The "Future Artificial Intelligence Research (FAIR)" project aims to contribute to addressing research questions, methodologies, models, technologies, and even ethical and legal rules for building Artificial Intelligence systems capable of interacting and collaborating with humans, perceiving and acting within constantly evolving contexts, being aware of their own limitations and capable of adapting to new situations, being aware of safety and trust perimeters, and being attentive to the environmental and social impact that their realization and execution can entail.
The project was presented by the National Research Council as the proposing entity, in collaboration with the National AIIS (Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Systems) Laboratory of CINI (National Inter-university Consortium for Computer Science) within the scope of Action 1.3, "Creation of 'Partnerships extended to universities, research centers, companies for the funding of basic research projects'", referred to in Directorial Decree no. 341 of March 15, 2022 - "Public notice for the presentation of Intervention Proposals for the creation of 'Partnerships extended to universities, research centers, companies for the funding of basic research projects' within the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, Mission 4 Education and research - Component 2 From research to business - Investment 1.3, funded by the European Union - NextGenerationEU".
The project obtained the decree of grant funding from the Mur with DD prot. 1555 of 10/11/2022. The project's identification code is PE00000013.
